The stock is too short so his head comes way too far foreward. If he actually shot it, his thumb would smack him in the nose.
Others are wrong about the barrel being too short. I pulled out a similar shotgun and by comparing the proportion of the barrel covered by the forend can tell that is a 26" barrel, which is fairly short, but within the normal range. It is, like the stock, out of proportion to his great height.
That is probably a standard gun he borrowed, and it is as out of proportion on him as an off the rack coat would be. As I remember he is 6'8".
Kerry is just so awkward doing everything that he automatically looks like a fool.

Ah yes, I see that now. So you are saying that he either needs to have a custom stock made to fit him or buy a manufactured one that is longer, assuming there is such a thing.

Oh God, those pictures of him throwing the football just crack me up. Reagan throwing one in a suit in the oval office looked so natural. And the one of Bush looks so genuine. Kerry looks like a ... "girlyman".
This jack-ass (Kerry) actually suggested/allowed someone to do this?! This shiite head belongs in a straight-jacket.
