Transcript of Sept. 3 show is not yet available, but reporter Larry O'Donnell kept calling Zell Miller a 'psychopath' because of his remarks at the Republican Convention.
Does anyone see the irony here? They level personal attacks with hateful speech against anyone who doesn't agree with their views.
In my book, Zell Miller is an old-fashioned patriot and a Marine who called John "Waffle" Kerry out and tells it like it is.
They can't stand the heat Zell put under their butts and will try to counter it by slimy personal attacks.
Why do the Dems wonder why they have lost the South?
The regional predjudice is astonishing.
.....prejudice
If you haven't already read it, read:
Speeches such as Miller's don't play well in certain sophisticated circles. He's got that funny accent, after all. And, in the vernacular of his native South, t'weren't nothin' nuanced about Miller's speech. However, there's nothing nuanced about terrorists who hijack airplanes and plow them into buildings; who blow up buses filled with children; who sever the heads of kidnap victims for prime-time recruiting films.
What such times call for are the qualities and strategies Miller colorfully described: "No matter what spider hole they may hide in or what rock they crawl under, George Bush wants to grab terrorists by the throat and not let them go to get a better grip."

The guy is a sissy.
The double-standard is one of the modern Democratic Party's basic "rights".
I think the funniest contradiction is their mantra, on one hand, that Democrats are the party of inclusion and tolerance. On the other hand, they insist that there's no room in their party for Zell. "He should just become a Republican". No, he's more useful to us right where he is!
O'Donnell is about as much a reporter as Lanny Davis.
So Larrry thinks that patriotism = hate.
Says more about this Larry fellow than anything else.
The mantra was sure different when Jim Jeffords left the republican party and became an independent, He was called intellectual, visionary, free thinking, and blah blah blah.
But Zell is a "nut".
***It's only because Zell has a Southern accent that they call it hate ***
they sure didn't mind Zell's Southern accent in '92 (or Slick's for that matter) when he lambasted 41.
Haw, haw, haw!!!
Isn't it interesting that the democrats had a psychopath, bigot, segragationist, lying, dementia ridden, anti-democrat, homophobe give the stump speech for Clinton?
All I can say is, reporters should beware of "psychopaths" carrying concealed copies of the congressional record.
I think Zell has alot to do with the "bounce". He is the stuff that our forfathers were made of! He stirred the soul of America. HE OVERSHADOWED POLITICS. He with Bush and the other speakers have reached people. Kerry is beginning to be pathatic. The MSM is wounded. Hate is all they have left!
Zell Miller gave perhaps the greatest speech thus far in this new century. It was truly amazing.
