The big difference here is that for all Bill Clinton's faults, he was likeable. As much as I detest his presidency and all his other shenanigans, if I met him in a bar, I'd probably have a drink with him and trade a few stories. But Kerry is so unlikeable that if I saw him walking into a bar, I'd sneak out the back door.
