As desirable and effective that policy might be it's a hard one to impose. Columbine is a good example. The first responders were reluctant to enter the school until backup arrived. They could hear the shooting going on inside but would not enter to investigate. Few areas have sufficient resources to mount a counter attack in less than a couple of hours, and that's more than sufficient time for the aggressors to do whatever it takes to solidify their position. The kids at Columbine chose to use that time to shoot classmates who professed their faith in God, the animals in Russia felt it was time better spent assuring the terror would outlive them. My wife has been a preschool program director for over 30 years and we have known for the last 10 years just how vulnerable our schools and preschools are to terrorism. Simultaneous drive-by attacks on multiple playgrounds during recess would be so very easy and impossible to protect against. If we are ever going to live without the threat of this kind of terror we are going to have to go after these animals at the source of the problem, those at the top who finance and direct their worldwide network.

We finance terrorists every time we fill up our own gas tanks....

The real source of terrorism is in their 'Book' and the pure form is taught in the one
nation we will not attack...Our troops are doing a great job pursuing them in some countries yet we have given the terrorist's ideological sources sanctuaries as we did the NVA and VC

As long as the ideological source is flowing new terrorists will be raised up to replace the old
there is an endless supply of them as their is the oil that supports them...and our favored nation trading partners all too happy to sell them the weapons they cannot produce for themselves an provide them with advisers and training...

The USA allows the building of Mosques and Islamic Centers in areas that have little if any Muslim population...Why would our enemies want to do this...why do we allow and encourage them to do so.

We allow them to sneak across our borders openly hiding among the so called illegal alien 'workers'...

We employ Wahhabi Chaplains in our military and in our prisons...one group trained in tactics and able to pass that training on...the other immersed in violence and hatred..

In the middle of our so called 'war on terror' we have left a large 'back door' open for our enemies..

We have created Homeland Security and beefed up TSA (who still drags its feet and through bureaucratic stall tactics has still not armed our commercial pilots on people haulers and freight haulers)

Until we go after the ideological source of terror...their financing and their arms brokers...we will always have terrorists..and until we get rid of those training centers in our nation and control the borders and arm our pilots....we can also expect a few sucessfull attacks...

(which of course will buy us nothing more than very expensive...do nothing bureaucratic feet draggers and paper shufflers)
