CHICAGO -- The Center for International Rehabilitation conducted an internal investigation earlier this year after a sexual harassment claim was filed against Dr. William Kennedy Smith.
That complainant filed her claim a year ago and received a financial settlement, which included an agreement that she not speak disparagingly of Kennedy Smith, NBC5's reported. A second woman settled her sexual harassment claim two weeks ago.
Earlier this week, another former employee alleged those complainants were looking for money and throwing themselves at Kennedy Smith, but a former president of the organization disagrees.
"I worked with them very closely," Sue Suter said. "Professionally and personally they have tremendous character and integrity, and I will even add, I never saw either of these women throw themselves at Will."
Hired as president of CIR, Suter left after four months.
"Will and I just had different management styles," she said.
An internal CIR investigation into Kennedy Smith's behavior was completed several months ago, NBC5 learned from several sources. Although Audra Soulias, who filed a lawsuit against Kennedy Smith last week, had tried to report her alleged assault, it is not mentioned in the investigation.
The committee conducting the investigation into the first sexual harassment claim concluded there were no witnesses, creating a he said, she said dilemma. The internal report determined Kennedy Smith acted and communicated inappropriately to employees but did not agree it was sexual harassment.
Both of the women who filed the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaints are bound by settlement agreements and have been unable to speak for themselves.
"I worked with both women," Suter said. "I have the utmost respect for them. They are outstanding professionals."

Then there is Ted Kennedy and Mary Jo. And he keeps getting reelected.
Unlike a couple of his relatives, he hasn't killed a woman...yet.
Oh, but you KNOW, Dante, Ted and Mary Jo were NOT a COUPLE that night!! See, it was a perfectly innocent gathering, that little party consisting of exactly 6 married men, and 6 unmarried women. The magnanimous men were just trying to reward the "boiler room girls" who had helped good old Bobby so much. (And they didn't even have Bobby present, odd...)
So, see, Teddy was just being a gentleman and giving that young woman a ride home. Nice fatherly type, that Teddy.

Please don't let them euthanize me, but when I first heard/read about Chappaquiddick, as a child, I believed that story--that these men were not paired with the women, and that Teddy and Mary Jo were not a "couple" that evening.
Mind you, I already knew Teddy was scum--my parents had told me, lol. But I guess my parents didn't feel like explaining to me, "No, dear, it's quite likely that he WASN'T just giving her a friendly ride home from a chaste little party."
Have you noticed what the main stream media reaction has been to his story? Court TV might've covered it. I haven't had much chance to follow it. I've been so horrified about the children shot in the back by Islamaic terrorists.
Yes, Court TV was covering it, which is how I found out about it.
The other story, I can't bear to watch.
Some time ago the Kennedy Smith was mentioned on TV. It might've been Diane Dimond on Court TV who then said that back in the nineties there had been other women also and she wondered when he'll strike again.
