BESLAN, Russia (Reuters) - More than 200 people -- dozens of them children -- have been killed and hundreds wounded in a bloody schoolyard battle that Russian troops blamed on Chechen hostage-takers.
Terrified children, some naked and others with bloodied faces, ran screaming for safety on Friday after a 53-hour ordeal at the hands of gunmen with bombs strapped to their waists. [...]

Reuters.
Am I overreacting?
(Did a search, couldn't find it posted, remove if duplicate etc.)
Reuters makes it sound like a legitimate occupation.
Note that Chechen hostage-takers are merely "blamed" for the shootout, by Russian troops.
In other words, Reuters is saying, who's to say who's really responsible?
This is Reuters being "objective".
That's why we call them "Roto-Reuters".
Don't think for a second this couldn't happen to our children.
"...that Russian troops blamed on Chechen hostage-takers. "
I'm just surprised that they stopped there. Why not take it to its logical conclusion and blame Dubya and the War on Terror?
Well, they leave an opening for the reader to do that. After all, if the only people "blaming" the Chechen hostages are "Russian troops", that seems to imply that the question of blame is still kind of up in the air. So hey, why not blame Dubya? ;-)
The children, many stripped to their underwear after two days without food or drink in stiflingly hot and crowded conditions, gulped down bottles of water and waited in a daze for relatives as gunfire crackled round them.
These are not warriors who did this. They are not men. They have no honor and there is no just cause, no grievance under the sun that could excuse or justify in any way this barbarism.
They are rabid animals and they deserve no other accord than that. They have forfeited all cause to consider the laws of man in respect to their disposal. And fast and irreversible disposal is all they or any that align with them should get.
"Russian troops stormed a school on Friday, blaming Chechen hostage-takers for a bloody battle in which...."
What the hell is wrong with these people?
My problem is "Chechen" rebels, not Islamic militants.
vaudine
German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder said everyone in his country was "moved with sympathy" for the victims and their families. "Here terrorists without conscience tried to reach political goals by murdering people," he said.
Russian siege sparks world horror (world leaders react)
I wonder what Gerhard thought 9/11 was? Or dozens of other equally unconscionable acts committed in Israel and around the world for the last 30+ years.
The media? They are Marxist-socialists-communists. If they go too far in pointing to the truth of things the next thing you know they will have to support doing the right thing. For a leftist that's a slippery slope that would quickly lead to conservative thought and then the necessity to condemn their own useless ideology.
When there's no real RIGHT or WRONG, all you can do is report everybody's opinion as that and nothing more. It's only fair and tolerant, you know. (And I think we're at the point now where about half of our country thinks just this way.)
Am I overreacting?
Glad you are asking in general, and not asking me.
There should not be one city left in Chechnia tomorrow.
In dealing with animals like these, one cannot be subtle. Look what happens when restraint is tried. Sadr retreats, negotiates, and gives us the Finger every week.
These people lose all respect for you if you stop stomping and kicking them for even a day.
So true. And who needs the respect of animals who don't even respect themselves or their own families? We should only be concerned that they fear us too much to act or stop breathing.
Schools, hospitals, nursing homes, shopping malls, grocery stores on a busy Saturday. All vunerable. Think of the possibilites
Well on NBC, Kati Qurec blamed "hostages trying to escape".
