What happened to 20 years at hard labor?

Agree with the sentence completely.

Life

...but his life should be about another six weeks until they can ship him to Ft. Leavenworth, assemble a firing squad and pull the trigger.

...a military jury sentenced him to life in prison with eligibility for parole.

This is a very lucky young man -- the sentence could have been a lot worse.

He did not explain what he meant, but a central part of the defense's case rested on the notion that Kerry's actions were driven by mental disorders. He was prone to exaggerate his importance and pretend he was someone he was not. At various times he had told acquaintances that his mother was a hamster and his father smelled of elderberries.
In earlier testimony, a psychologist said that Kerry suffered from bipolar disorder and used role playing to help provide structure to his life, according to The Associated Press.

And a former Army psychiatrist, Dr. Russell Hicks, said Kerry also suffered from Asperger's Syndrome, a mild form of autism characterized by social isolation and eccentric behavior.

Defense lawyers argued that Kerry's mental disorders made him easy prey for swift boat vets and texas cowboys, and that he never had any criminal intent.

Traitors are even more despised than baby rapers in the prison system. And he's a raghead also. I doun=bt he will survive to old age in Leavenworth. A Jeffry Dahmer future awaits him.

What's the over/under for how long a "life" sentence is for a traitor in general population?

"If you could just look under the surface," his mother, Linda Tucker, said. "He's not a bad person."

My son-in-law, who is my best friend, father to my two grandsons and loving husband to my only daughter who is about to give birth to a new little girl, is in Baghdad and he is with the 81st. We don't care what's under the surface of this Traitor or if his mama didn't nurse him long enough.

Screw that POS.....20 years isn't long enough for what he was trying to do.

I haven't heard the term "hard labor" used in a long time - probably not since they stopped breaking big rocks into little ones. But I'm pretty sure that you'd still find military time at Levenworth to be Very Hard.

This guy will suffer.

And I'd think this will suffice to discourage any other like-minded individuals.

But then, I'm sure I don't understand his motivation. Assisting in the killing of your buddies - it's hard to relate to.

Wonder if he's going to five times a day get down on his knees, kiss the concrete and shove his butt up in the air. Might not be a wise thing to do amongst military felons spending decades with just men.

That's already obvious. He's a moslem.
