However, if some of these rumors are true, it's news to me.
For instance, it's no secret that Powell may step down with Dr. Rice being the likely successor.
Beyond that, is anyone besides me shocked to hear some of these names mentioned in the piece?
OK, so they're assuming W's gonna win by talking about his second term and who's gonna leave. Sounds like the liberal media knows Kerry's toast.
USA Today obviously thinks Bush is going to be re-elected.
More useless "predictions" from the almost always wrong Left. Feh!
Did he get his predictions from the other USA Today star Micheal Moron?
Mankiw can leave now. Rumsfeld will stay I think. Powell will leave. Rudy should get into the cabinet.
Powell, I think, is tired of the Washington grind.
I'D like to know HOW you got a Gannett piece here, IN ITS ENTIRETY, without invoking the wrath of MOD.
I'd like to see Bremer come on board in some high-profile position.
Something I've never doubted.
I love the fact we are talking about post election already. Reading the tea leaves, as it were.
That was my reaction. Looks like USA Today has written Kerry off.
The Dems always say it's gone badly, but I don't think it has. I think it has gone as well as could be expected. No one ever said reconstruction and building democratic institutions would be easy or quick. We are on track for elections next January and a permanent constitution by the end of next year.
rudy has a mission in 2006 i am hoping
this would make sense for the RNC.....Since the VP did not leave the ticket,,,,,slots need to open up for possible Presidential picks for 08.,,,for example. rudy for Attorney General since he is a attorney...McCain - Secretary of Defense, something has him on the Bush Stump.,,,,,Pataki...(?),.....maybe even Condi for Secretary of State, maybe Arnold...somewhere. Dick Chaney may even drop out after 2 years (health) for Rudy or someone to replace him. Unlimited possiblities.
But MSM will make it look like Bush problems, but this would be excellant plan to strenghten itself against hillary.....
Potential successors mentioned most often: deputy national security adviser Stephen Hadley; Lewis "Scooter" Libby, chief of staff to Vice President Cheney; Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz or National Security Council Iraq expert Robert Blackwill."
Any chance the Cyber Czar position opening up? I just might dust of my resume.
LOL.....historians like Brinkley and his ilk.
