In a newspaper article a woman said she was allowed to go into another room with her crying toddler because it was cooler there, and they had water in there. I imagine that most of the kids in a big crowded room with no water were hot.

Dear Lord. I cannot convey how much this has upset me. I have 3 children---I pray for them every day.

I have three kids too. Time to go give them a kiss as they sleep. And an extra prayer for the Russian kids laying in pain in crowded hosptials. Kids with limbs torn apart, and hearts and minds broken. Prayers that God will at least make there hearts and souls whole again. Prayers for justice.

The photo of the cross must have slipped past the NYTimes editors. It focuses the mind on the muslim-christian struggle.
