To all our veterans we say, "welcome home."
I interpreted this, when I heard the speech LIVE, as an indirect hit on Kerry's VVAW activities. This suspicion was confirmed when freeper reports said Franks gave an interview (I can't recall which channel they were watching) and Franks had some explicit criticism of Kerry's 1971 Senate testimony.
Not coincidentally, I'm sure, was the interview Brit Hume had done earlier with President Bush 41 who also commented on that 1971 testimony and said Kerry should apologize.
Aside from pointing out this observation that the era of Kerry's VVAW activities evidently have been officially declared fair game, I will add that the entire Franks speech was just terrific in every way.
I wasn't aware of that....thanks for the input.
