Maria Bartiromo on CNBC? I used to have a serious case of the hots for her until I saw her on Celebrity Jeopardy. She was as dumb as a box of rocks and I can’t look at her the same since. I think she wound up with a negative score, and I’ll never forget that one of the answers involved the photo of the kid standing in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square. They showed the photo, mentioned Tiananmen square, and all she had to do was name the country where it happened. She didn’t know. (And she was just as dumb in every other subject). If these other info-babes are like her, my world is coming to an end. ;)
Yes, I have seen Maria, back in the days when I actually had a portfolio worth worrying about and watched CNBC.
Your observation does not surprise me. Most of those talking heads are just that, talking heads. They're good at reading a teleprompter and that's about it. Fox has been instrumental and providing some serious eye candy in the newsroom. Looks like MSNBC is following suit. But that says nothing for their intellectual capability or lack thereof.
