As it happens, I have a pig. It's over 30kg right now and it will be dead sometime before Christmas, coinciding with a drastic emptying of my deep freeze to accomodate it's pre-oven tasty parts. The only abuse I have lined up for it is a reasonably balanced diet and more time in the sun as summer approaches downunder. My son loves this pig... it's got quite a personality. I'm sure personality will carry thru in the cooking.
Thanks for "outing yourself" on this thread....Free Republic is known for it's therapeutic values; but be warned that your son will despise you forever come that holiday barbecue.
(Be sure and post some pictures of a Kiwi style pigroast at the appropriate time!)
