"...doesn't two tours usually mean that person was actually in country..."

This has been answered many times here on FR. For those in the Navy, serving in the waters off Vietnam (Gridley) was a tour of duty & considered to be 'in country'. The 2 tour item is factual.

I'll accept that the two tours of duty to be factual. I need the definition of a tour of duty though? I thought it was one full year from the time you arrived "in country". While you are at it what is the true definition of "in country"? Activated reservist or active duty somewhere in the world during the time period of the Viet Nam war?
