Just to give you an idea of how closely Red Sox fans are following the Yankees; my daughter called at my home in the Chicago suburbs last night from her seat at Fenway to ask me to look up on the Internet how the Yankees game was going.

As a Red Sox Fan myself, I never ever would predict what the Red Sox's are doing. Let us not forget the last playoff between the Yankees and the Redsox...when Pedro was allowed to remain on the mound.
That is the exciting thing about being a Red Sox fan, they keep you on the edge all the time.

I posted on this immediately on the live thread - my rabid Red Sox fan husband caught it right away (after he forced me to briefly cut away from the President's speech to get the Yankees score!!!). Kerry is such a dork, he can't even get his sports stories straight. I honestly think he could lose Massachusetts if he keeps this up - he is embarrassing the Red Sox Nation.
