I think each man stuck to the issues on which they are conservative, while avoiding any mention of the issues on which they're not. It worked out well for everyone involved.
But let's not fool ourselves into thinking that any of them, on balance, are conservatives.

Has Rush gone nuts? Rudy and Arnold are liberals. Pro gun control, pro abortion, pro high taxes, pro govt control of businesses, etc. These guys positions are closer to Ted Kennedy than Ronald Reagan.
