"For several years now, Republicans have been too polite or inarticulate, or both, to say what they really think of the Democratic Party. How clever, then, to find a Democrat to say it for them.

What a great point.

For years the Ugly American Democrats have gotten away with being as viscious as they want to be, while calling Republicans "mean spirited" every time anything negative was uttered.

I just heard Froggy Estridge saying this was "the most negative Convention I can remember", and a lot of people have been saying they've been "too nice, but now the gloves are coming off." She must hang out on DU if she believes they've been too nice. She'even more out of it than I thought.

The gloves are coming off??? Does that mean they're going to start stabbing and shooting people?? Because unless they invent some new epithets, there isn't much nastier they can get verbally...especially since they have an empty suit for a candidate.

Dang I get so frustrated at the Rats calling President Bush "Hitler" and "liar" for all these months, and then pretnding to indignant self-righteousness when they finally get just a little of their own back, and only factual if unpleasant truths at that. It's like that all the time, and the pinko media lets them get away with it,and then starts gasping when President Bush points out a few home truths about sKerry's record,or Zell Miller comes out and takes the mask off-that had to really sting, because they know he was there in the "smoky back room" when they were doing their dirty dealing on Homeland Security.

Certainly. But Zell isn't going to be a Republican. Zell wants to lead a reconstitution of the Dem, after they collapse under the Kennedy wing, this Nov. But there's Bill and Hil. So, I don't know. I don't think as the head of a revitalized 'blue-dog' faction, that they can win the party back, or even come into reasonable standing against the Clintonites. But . . we'll see.

Oh I agree with that, it won't happen overnight, but I think the Demo-rats better just prepare for their long time in the wilderness, just as the Republicans had to for a while until a few years back. But being in a former bluedog Demo-rat southern stronghold myself, that has turned completely Republican in the last few years, and I know it will never go back, now that the demo-rats have completely turned to the left.
