Great comment. Only disagree with the insane part. Some are insane, but most are just barbaric hedonists. (No rooom for naive, uninformed etc. -once they have an abortion, that is their salve) I wish I wasn't so unsure of a heaven or a hell after this, because I really want to see them get their just deserts... but the Dems are going there any way.
Nothing wrong with being unsure about heaven and hell. I'm a Christian, and I have little idea about what heaven and hell is going to actually be.
For me, however, hell could be succinctly defined as existing apart from God. That would be enough.

As for these people, you are dead on. In most cases, life makes it difficult to spend your entire life a barbarian. I'll tell you this - abortion gets a lot easier if the term 'sacred' has no meaning.
Abortion and atheism, for me, appear to be very close cousins - maybe even brothers.
If you are an atheist, and there is no fear of eternal damnation, then what is there that compels a person to goodness except goodness for the sake of momentary gratification? Sacrifice and atheism simply doesn't make sense either. To an atheist, there is just the slow decline to death, and the quest to pack as much self-indulgence in that span as possible.
As for where any of us are going to end up. I'm quite sure I will be cleaning toilets in heaven, though I'm extremely confident I'm going to be there. As for D's, you've got up to the last minute of your life to discover the truth.
There are a lot more R's in the country that used to be D's. Hope springs eternal. Truth is so often the simplest thing available, though not the easiest to accept.
