Stuff like this is why unions are dying.

My email to parade organizer:
Mr. Wyatt:
I am ashamed and disappointed at your lack of leadership in refusing to allow political candidates who you disagree with to enter the Labor Day parade. 80 percent of the men in my family (father, grandfathers, uncles, cousins, etc.) belong to unions as do many of the women in my family as well. Our family is appalled that you would make such an uncalled for decision. You do more harm to the union than good with decisions like this.

You do not "own" Labor Day nor is it "your day". Labor Day belongs to working men and women everywhere, whatever political party or political views they choose.

You will be remembered for your decisions that bring more shame than celebration to this very important holiday. Shame on you.

Jim Banks
