Zell reminded me of a Preacher I once had. He didn't even crack a smile after making his "spit balls" and "bowl of mush" comments. He also didn't move around a lot. He just stood there with his hands on the podium and let it fly. He was mad as hell and I loved it.

I can't wait to see the President tonight.

Most politicians have to be so reserved and under control, always saying very measured words. It was actually thrilling to listen to a public official last night who just let it fly -- saying exactly what he wanted to say, and exactly what needed to be said. I bet Zell Miller slept well last night.

Zell is probably the last of his kind, which is sad.

And he cleaned up on Chrissy Matthews after hours!

MILLER: Get out of my face! If you're going to ask me a question, step back and let me answer. I wish we lived in the day when you could challenge a person to a duel .Now that would be pretty good. But don't pull that kind of stuff on me like you did that young lady (Michelle Malkin) when you had her there browbeating her to death.

MATTHEWS: (in cross talk) Let me tell you, she was suggesting that John Kerry purposely shot himself to win a medal, and I was trying to correct the record.

MILLER: I'm not her. You get in my face, and I'm going to get back in your face. And the only reason you're doing it is because you're standing way over there in Herald square.

You put your finger on what Zell was like. I see him at the Pearly Gates with the big book saying whether you get in or not. He tells the truth, no whitewash, no euphemisms. No PC baloney.
