Why did Ronald Reagan evoke such incredible gratitude and goodwill? Was it his personality his sunny optimism, his humor, that twinkle in his eye?
Was it that he was the great communicator? Or, was it all of that and something more?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes.

"....cleans up his position on illegal immigration..."
I agree....the Republicans have totally avoided this issue in the 2004 RNC (thus far)....it was through "immigration" that the terrorists came to our shores....I say it is in our best public interest to tighten up the immigration/student visa/green card process -- as it will no doubt be by that route that the future terrorists will be plotting their designs against the US....

...a place where man was not beholden to government, government was beholden to man.
I don't trust the government enough to trust it with things like my health, my children's education, and my retirement. It is unbelievable that the people on the Left who say it is a patriotic duty to oppose the gov't (of Bush, anyway) clamor to give the government control over some of the most vitally important aspects of our lives--healthcare, education, and Social Security.
