This seems like a great issue for someone at Fox to tackle. Heaven knows, no other media outlet will bother themselves with this.

"Think you're getting unbiased, balanced coverage of politics?"

Of course.

"Or is there a double standard in the way the media treat Republicans and Democrats, liberals and conservatives?"

Wait a minute, now that you mention it, Dan Rather did seem to be a little hard on President Clinton. ;-)

In a 50-50 nation, how do the media square this imbalance with the claim of being objective, fair and nonpartisan?

First, I doubt the nation is 50-50. The DEMs, liberals and socialists have a disproportionately louder voice due to having prominence in the media and education systems.

Second, the media does not have to "square this imbalance." All it does is assert that it is balanced, any evidence to the contrary being summarily dismissed, end of discussion.
