A little while ago, I heard a Washington Post guy say on MSNBC that Zell had become "unhinged." Don't you just love the MSM?

It was a great night for southern men,,the most maligned men on the planet, but the ones you want in a foxhole with you or at the window with the shotgun when the bad guys are about.

The best smackdown of a TV host ever. Matthews was completely demoralized and taken aback. You could hear the rest of the panel laughing their ass off at Matthews as he took the equivalent of a verbal gang bang..

Kleins spin was obvious'y trying to discredit the incredible damage Zell inflicted on Kerry. Frank Luntz's focus group showed Zell's speach was devastating.

I watched the Miller/Matthews kerfuffle this morning on MSNBC/Imus.
What great television.
My favorite bit - the shot of the bystanders in Hearld Square watching the monitor and cheering Zell on as he ripped the girly-man a new one.

Zell's not only a southern man, he's a man from the mountains of Georgia. Mostly Scotch-Irish by heritage, cussedly independent, brave as lions, stand no nonsense, and they will back up talk with action. You DO NOT mess with those boys, they will hand you your head.
(Speaking of course as a mountainy Georgian myself. < g >)

Hey........ I'm a Pennsylvanian and I dig Pennsylvanians (except for the liberal whackos in Pittsburgh and Philly), but I know what you are saying about the south and honor. I LOVE THE SOUTH AND THE PEOPLE. You are so real and so soulful! Bless you!

For those of us who don't get PMSNBC on their cable, please enlighten us as to how IMUS felt about the speech.
I get this feeling he's about ready to throw Kerry off and go with Dubya.
Please advise

I'm sorry, you're asking the wrong person. I just watched Zell's speech and tuned into Prissy Chrissy because somebody on FR flagged it while it was live.
I maybe watch 2-3 hours of television a MONTH. I looked in on the Olympics, what with that and the Pub convention, and my 'rents possibly being in the path of Frances, I've watched more television in late August and Sept. than in the past two years.

Imus was respectful to Zell. There were two hilarious moments during the Imus spot. At one point Zell seemed to have trouble talking, sort of going slow and kind of clearing his throat. Imus looked all perturbed and asked him was he okay. Zell said he was just eating his muffin. It was so funny, Imus trying to grill Zell and ole Zell having his morning bran muffin. Then at the end Zell started saying he supported Bush and what did people make of Kerry in those tight spandexes, asked what kind of man wore those and went windsurfing and rode that silly little bike he rode. He was genuine and it was too funny for words. Imus was laughing, trying not to, it was priceless.
