The editor of the Arab Times and a Kuwaiti daily wrote an article yesterday in support of President Bush, hailing him as the only leader who confronts terrorism and comes to the rescue of people under the yoke of dictatorship.
Writing in the Kuwaiti daily Al-Siyassa, Ahmad Al-Jarallah challenged critics of the president who call the war in Iraq "baseless," according to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI.
He concluded with, "Bush is the president of not only the United States but the whole world, for he is making history on this small planet."

President George W. Bush will be remembered like the liberator of the Arab world.
To: Dubya's fan
Sorry, I should have said "as the liberator..."
To: Dubya's fan
I will keep quiet on how naive it is to believe anything these arabs say.

Truly outstanding. I just hope this editor has good bodyguards...you can bet your bottom dollar that the Islamofascists will seek to bump him off in the near future.

The Kuwaitis are a very thankful people for the US intervention and liberation of Iraq. I spent some time there and was thanked many times for our presence.
Saddam really wrecked Kuwait when his forces invaded. The Kuwaitis lost a bunch of people, national treasures, troops, and their dignity when Saddam's army moved in.
I am glad to see this in print during the election season in America.

The Kuwaitis were ravaged by the Iraqis in unimaginable ways. They may be the only REAL allies we have in the region.

A lot of them still remember Bush's dad throwing Iraq out of Kuwait.
The Kuwaitis were even more delighted to see Saddam finally deposed. They never felt completely safe from him until that happened.
Saddam raped Kuwait. They haven't forgotten.

Iran/Iraq always 'ravaged' each other for a decade. I don't think any of them are allies. Any islamic state is not a friend.

Kuwait, IMHO is different.
I know Iran and Iraq both have had ruthless battles.
These two states have had a historical and religious difference for at least 800 years. They are Persian vs Arab and at the same time Sunni vs. Shiite.
Kuwait was different. Kuwait is and was a tiny oil rich Emirate that when invaded was raped. They lost thousands of people during the invasion and during the Iraqi occupation. They were robbed of many of their national treasures that were stolen or destroyed.
They as Arabs and Muslims are the best friend the US has. There are other govt's and people in the middle east that are allies. But, The Kuwaitis are the best friend in the middle east we have.

"Terrorists exploit the religion to achieve their objective, which is to destroy civilization, kill people, start wars and plunge the world into darkness."
Dear Mr. Al-Jarallah: Thank you for the heroic truth you express. You are correct that, at this moment in history, the policies of President Bush are the best to fight terrorism and remove tyranny from the lives of people so they can live in peace and freedom.
