My friend, I'm a small-l libertarian with strong constitutionalist tendencies.

There are a great many things that W has done which make me VERY angry.

However, to me, this is a one-issue election.

John Kerry's actions in the 1970s prolonged one war, resulting in more American servicemen dying, and ultimately millions of Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians as well.

A Kerry victory in November would be seen as a lack of U.S. resolve; this would result in the prolonging of a second war.

And that is utterly unacceptable to me.

I will vote for Bush because the message must be sent to those around the world that we will not waver in our fight.

Tell me honestly, please, Mr. Smiley, do you think Zell Miller's speech might have an effect on any Independents and Undecideds? I'm only asking since you identified yourself as an Independent. I think its important to identify the things which influence those who haven't made up their minds.

My husband is a retired "Lifer Pig" (as he was called more times than I care to remember!), who served a tour in Korea at 18, and 2 tours in Vietnam. We could never vote for Kerry for the same reason. He's one of the reasons we are Republicans.
