NEW YORK - Arizona Rep. John Shadegg got a standing ovation from his delegation Wednesday when he announced that, partly because of their complaints, USA Today had withdrawn convention credentials for film maker Michael Moore.
Shadegg had instructed delegates to call USA Today to protest the paper's decision to hire Moore for the week. When a top executive called him to ask why he was mad at the paper, Shadegg said he responded: "You're just nuts if you think we're going to buy your paper, when you credentialed kind of the anti-Christ."
As delegates rose to their feet, Shadegg said he got a return call a few hours later saying Moore's credentials had been revoked.
Shadegg referred to "Fahrenheit 911" as a "crockumentary."
He also said Kerry voters "have mental health problems," adding: "I'll probably get in trouble for that."

I'm sure some freepers won't like what he said but when you take into account the vandalism, hissy fits, violence perpetrated recently by Kerry supporters it is not a stretch to bring their mental health into consideration.

Moore was an excellent prop for McCain on Monday night. Perhaps if he stayed, then he might have learned something, but I doubt it.

There's a group of people with mental health problems that are going to feel slandered that they have been equated with JFK voters. But, its news to me that M&Mboy got his credentials pulled by Fishwrap. If, it is true, then lets have a celebration. Root beers for everyone. Charge it to M&Mboy; he can afford it after Moveon bought all those tickets to Fable 911. And I still say M&Mboy is Nedrey from Jurrasic Park.

Calling Kerry supporters mentally ill insults crazy people. I think brain damaged would be more appropriate.

Today, on Hannity radio, Neal Boortz said that he thought 45% of the American public was too stupid to vote on anything important. He said they don't know anything about the candidates or issues and the majority of them couldn't even tell you who their Congressmen were. He also made a crack about maybe we should go back to only letting male landowners vote and Sean laughingly asked him to take it to someone else's show. I almost agree.

I don't disagree with this guy, but I'd hate to see something like this used by the MSP to distract from the intended message/theme of the Convention. I think it's best to ignore mm 'n his moronocumentary.

Well, I believe calling them brain-damaged insults all brain-damaged people. How about calling them brainless?

"go back to only letting male landowners vote ".
That's a subject of interest to me - most people don't know that after the American Revolution most non-landowning males could not vote.
We celebrate and study ad finitum giving blacks and women the right to vote but never even mention the fact that there was a time when all white males did not have the vote.

the majority of them couldn't even tell you who their Congressmen were.Hannity ran some live interviews with NYC protestors last Friday. Of the six people interviewed, four were easily convinced into the notion that "Jim Kearny" was the Rat candidate.
It was unbelievable.
