I've heard of the "V" with the Bronze Star plenty, but never with the Silver Star.

The medals controversy has slipped into he said she said in the major media. What is needed now is to connect Kerry's betrayal of his fellows in 1971 with today. The connection is in his efforts to claim credit for combat of Lt. Ted Peck on Boat 94 before Kerry took over, and in efforts to depict the other boats on March 13 as having fled with only Kerry going back to get Rassman, when in fact the other boats stayed to succor Boat 3 which had hit a mine and only Kerry fled. There are other examples. He is still lying about the valor of those who served, just as he did in 1971.

Apparently, the grounds for awarding a Silver Star
already imply the "V" circumstances, whereas that
is not the case for the Bronze.

The SStar "V" might be a case of a clerical error not
cleared up when Kerry had the chance(s). I find the
three citation situation more interesting, as well
as the apparent false reports that lead to the SStar.

Does the Senate issue medals for attendance?
If so, and Kerry has one, it's a fraud too.
