Britt Hume: Senator Kerry, you claimed on September 1st that you would have done "everything differently" in Iraq. How do you expect the American public to contain their laughter?
I would have done everything differently in WWII. I would've declared war on Hitler when he re-occupied the Rhineland, encouraging a coup by the Wehrmacht that would have overthrown him and prevented the whole war and the Holocaust. Then I would have helped the Russians overthrow Stalin, preventing the cold war. Then I would have annexed Saudi Arabia and turned it into a secular democracy, preventing Arab terrorism. Can I be President now?
