Kerry added that he would have given weapons inspectors in Iraq more time to search for weapons of mass destruction, not because inspectors would have found all the weapons, "but because by doing do, we could have brought other countries to our side." ... in direct conflict with their own interests.
He'd be waiting a long time.
What makes Kerry particularly scary is that he doesn't seem to understand this. I think he takes our European friends at face value, which is surely a bad thing in this Age of Nuance.

Kerry Would Have Done 'Almost Everything Differently' in IraqLike committing atrocities, getting medals for them, then hurling those medals on the White House Lawn.

This was a crucial speech for Kerry.
How was he received?
To: VisualizeSmallerGovernment
That's the thing. He can look back in time and say what he would have done differently, but he cannot come up with a strategy going forward. What a twerp.

Kerry wanted to co-opt Iraq's oil revenues to pay for the invasion and reconstruction.
Imagine how well that would've gone over with the Arabs, to have us in fact steal the oil?
It is bad enough that they allege that we are stealing their oil, but to actually do it? Kerry's policies as a president would threaten to turn every Arab against us, not just the extremists. As it is now, weare doing quite well to have the support of the moderates and the silent majority... At least that's what I'm reading between the lines.

As Rush said, Kerry would have sent little Johnny Edwards in to file a class action lawsuit against Saddam.

It would have been nice if kerry did anything in his Senate career (?).I really doubt that.
If we can't have a Conservative Senator, at least we should have totally ineffective liberals...

If Kerry was actually there, he would have collected three bandaid wounds and shagged a*s out of there.

"If I were in charge of World War II, there would have been no Dunkirk, Battle of the Bulge, or Bataan Death March, but that Japanese Surrender thing would have been pretty cool. Except, of course, I would have done it smarter, better, faster, less expensively and with more sensitivity."
Exactly. Monday morning President.

I would have done everything differently in WWII. I would've declared war on Hitler when he re-occupied the Rhineland, encouraging a coup by the Wehrmacht that would have overthrown him and prevented the whole war and the Holocaust. Then I would have helped the Russians overthrow Stalin, preventing the cold war. Then I would have annexed Saudi Arabia and turned it into a secular democracy, preventing Arab terrorism. Can I be President now?
Hindsight is always 20/20 and always PERFECT.

It was a DOA speech. Weak applause for his spending on vets promises, total silence when he attacked Bush on Iraq.

This was a crucial speech for Kerry. How was he received? It was so chilly, I thought Kerry's nose would break off from frostbite.

Kerry's Iraq War Plan: 1. Vote to go to war. 2. Don't fund the war. Well, that is a different approach Not really. It's just the short version of how the dems handled Vietnam.

"I would not have sent Afghans up into those mountains, who a week earlier were fighting on the other side. I would have sent the best trained forces in the world to get the number one criminal and terrorist in the world," he added.Genius, John, pure genius. You would have rather sent our troops into unknown territory rather than those who were familiar with the area in which they were entering.
Me thinks that if Afghanistan were fought John Kerry's way, we would have had FAR more casualties. Is a man who would make such a tactical blunder REALLY capable of leading this country?

Kerry said he would never have "diverted resources so quickly" from Afghanistan before capturing bin Laden. That one relies on a lot of ignorance, but maybe it will gain traction.

Who????? France, Germany????? LOL, both said they did not care who the President was, they would not support the war. None other than Mumia made exactly that point last week. It's pretty sad when a cop-killer makes more sense than the Rat candidate for president!
To: abc1
It would have been nice if kerry did anything in his Senate career (?). He took credit for that. He said he and McCain cleared up that whole POW/MIA issue and that he personally wrote the legislation regarding Agent Orange.
To: Always Right
bring "our allies to our side," share the burden of the war that is currently costing the U.S. taxpayer, and reduce the risks to U.S. soldiers. We had almost everyone except France on our side......and France has NO track record of lowering the risks to our soldiers. Considering how tough it is for our soldiers now, imagine how much more difficult it would be over there if they were having to babysit French "soldiers" as well as fight.
