I agree.
The Republican Party should put together commercials that highlight its support for civil rights since it was the party of Abraham Lincoln. It should show how the dream of Dr. Martin Luthor King, Jr., that one day people will be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their charactor, is a Republican, not a Democratic, value.
However, this can't be done by the Republican Party alone. It is more important for people like Roy Innis to keep making speeches like this one, to make the African-American constituency open to learning this history -- and about the involvement of the Bush family in particular in this battle.
I agree. This is a great article and it amazes me how more of us blacks don't even take the time to research this information. I know I researched and I was surprised at what I found.
