From reading that transcript, I'd have to say Giuliani ganged up on them.
Giuliani: "The terrorists killed almost 3,000 of our people. So what side are you on? Are you on their side or are you on our side?"
Real simple question. They don't want to answer it because if they answered honestly, they would admit they are for doing away with America as she is and try to implement something she's not. They squirm at the thought of being brought out into the light by answering honestly and saying, "I'm with the terrorists." They squirm at the thought of answering dishonestly by saying they are with us and being disloyal to their evil intent. They want to destroy America worse than the terrorists do. That's why they get so upset at the statement, "You're either with us or you're with the terrorists."

That's why they get so upset at the statement, "You're either with us or you're with the terrorists." It seems like they want to intentially misunderstand this statement. I think of it this way. Imagine two football teams in a game, the Cowboys and the Steelers. One of the players for the Cowboys criticizes the coach for bad play-calling. This does not mean he's 'with the Steelers'. However, if he begins rooting for the Steelers to win, then he IS. In fact, this is what some on the Left seem to do. They actually want the terrorists to win.
