I agree with you. I can almost feel it! The key, I think, will be the emergence of a new generation of true leaders within the black community. The days of the scam artists, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, are coming to an end. It will be leaders like Michael Steele, and (please God!) J.C. Watts, that will blow the chains of political bondage open.

I think it is only natural in the cycle. Eventually every generation is succeeded by another. Not that I am a "fan" of Clinton, but for example, his election signaled the transition to the baby boomer generation and G.W. followed in that path.
In our own party, in the past 10 years we have seen the transition to a new leadership of Power Shakers.
Well, the black community still has yet to make a change. It's overdue. My hope is that new leadership has room for people like Steele, J.C., Condi, Paige, and all regardless of ideology.
