Hershey, your comments need to be repeated over and over. Thank You!!!

I'm coming late to the party here tonight, but the consensus of the worry about Miller's speech is that he was impassioned and angry. Old fashioned stem-winder speech, fire and brimstone...according to the spokesman from National Review. Well, maybe Zell Miller listened to the news today about Russia and terrorists seizing a school and holding hundreds of children and teachers hostage, threatening to kill fifty kids or twenty at a time. My first reaction on hearing that was sheer rage. A heartbeat later I was thinking, My God, they could do that here without much trouble...and I got even angrier. Maybe that's what fueled Zell Miller's rage. Here we are in the grip of a terrible war where the enemy is already among us, and PC crap rammed down our throat is choking our ability to defend this nation. Dropping the worst of the charges against those three terrorists today...now we can only get them on mail fraud if you please...because something about the way we prosecuted them isn't perfect. Hello! We're at war. That's the reality. This isn't cops and robbers time. The enemy isn't playing by the same rules here, and the RATs insisting that we pretend they simply plan to rob the corner Quickie-Mart is ludicrous and will get thousands of us killed. That should make the entire country mad as hell. Finally Zell Miller gets up on his hind legs and calls a spade a spade and some people think he's not nice? They should get a grip. If Ronald Reagan, bless his soul, were alive and well today and spoke out about the war on terror, he'd castigate RATs, too. We're living through a nightmare, and what's going on in Russia tonight should be a wakeup call to the entire US.

They're tearing apart the stage at Madison Square Garden...putting in a revolving circular stage at the end of a catwalk. GW will walk out there, at some point in his shirt sleeves (they think because that's how he's most comfortable). He'll give a great speech, tell us where he wants to lead the country and rattle cages in Iran and Syria and NK. He'll be terrific because what you see with GW is what you get. No phony baloney, no cosmetic enhancements...botox and mini facelifts...so you'll think he's younger than he is. Every gray hair on his head has been honestly earned, every line on his face is there because he's been President for the past four years. Anybody who thinks it's a cushy job with butlers and maids and a big plane paid for not by the missus, but taxpayers, and where all you have to do is call up the UN or France and Germany to get things done is crazy and your name is JFKerry.

Kerry is a nutcase, neurotic. He's never accomplished anything honestly in his entire life. Don't get me started on how he stalked and harassed TerAYsa until she gave up and said she'd marry him. That was the stuff of DC gossip columns at the time, along with the interesting fact that he was facing imminent bankruptcy. He spent weeks this spring laboriously copying John F. Kennedy's signature so his would look just like it. With Kerry, as with Clinton and RATs and the MSM, it's what things 'look like' that count. Not substance, not reality. So who cares that Kerry never showed up for his day job in the senate. What he did and said thirty years ago when we were at war is irrelevant. Who cares. Let's talk about the issues, let's rearrange deck chairs.

They're crazy. Millions of soccer moms watched the news from Russia this afternoon and followed the dots down straight to their own neighborhood school. They don't want Russia's tragedy to happen here. They don't want another 9/11. They know Kerry's more 'sensitive' war on terror will get people killed, perhaps even their children. Whispers about democRATs secretly planning to vote for GW make perfect sense.

I never thought I'd say this, but like Zell Miller, I lament the loss of the democratic party to a bunch of European wannabies who think America needs to be hogtied to the UN and told what to do and when to do it. We're so much better off as a country when we have many points of view expressed with passion and sense on both sides. As it is, the behavior of democrats and the MSM is beyond belief. Without the internet and those brave Swift Boat vets, God knows where we'd be.
