I'm beginning to wonder if we are seeing the end of using volunteers at these conventions. The security seems to be as porous as Swiss cheese, and convention credentials seem to be available to any nutcase who wants to just walk in, unfurl a banner, and start screaming and disrupting.

Are the credentials being forged on somebody's computer somewhere? Are they being stolen from hotel rooms or pickpocketed from conventiongoers? For G*d's sake, two of these nutbars got within striking distance of the Vice President.

This anarchic situation must be stopped and security has GOT to be beefed up, yesterday. If it takes doing a background check on every swinging **** in that hall and retina scans and biometrics, then it should be done. The stakes are too high to just let anarchists and communists or worse just stroll in off the street and perhaps do something so indescribably bad that our grandchildren will be reading about it in their history books.
