George Stephanapolous saying that Miller's speech won't convince undecideds.
I couldn't disagree more.

Mara: Who would've known that the angriest speech of this convention came from a Democrat.

Good grief! Mara compares Zell's speech to Howard Dean's "I have a scream" moment. Them Mort chimes in that Zell went over the line. It must be past their bedtime!

Last call from the kiddo. Was down on the floor for both Zell's speech and Cheney's. Loved the flip-flops.After it was over, did what any teenager would do - go out for pizza...with boys. Worried but not terrbly.
Hope she gets some sleep tonight.

George Stephanapolous saying that Miller's speech won't convince undecideds. What a joke! I have never seen a speech like Zell gave tonight. Absolutely stunning.
I have never understood how my very conservative Christian grandparents could be Democrats, but listening to Zell tonight it makes sense to me if he was the face of the old Democrat party! This will hit those who remember that party like a ton of bricks.

I agree with you that this is absolutely incorrect analysis.
The only reason stephy says this is because he knew it was damn effective.
This is hardball national politics right now and (almost) anything goes.
The voice of Zell Miller was a direct, 4-alarm fire wake-up call to the Reagan Democrats of the 1980's that now is the time to vote for this president and support this country and "don't be fooled again" - like he was.

I'm just catching up on this thread and haven't read past your comment, but I am currently watching Frank Lunz and his stupid group of "undecideds". They almost UNANANOMOUSLY thought Zell's speech was spot on, and effective. At the end, 11 of 17 have decided to vote for Bush.
