if you go to the itunes music store, you can download (as of today 1 sep) several speeches made so far since monday including Giuliani's and McCain's. They are free to download as AAC files.
If you don't already have itunes installed on your mac or pc, go to http://www.itunes.com
Thanks for the suggestion, but i'm still not finding it. I'm don't see a GOP icon anywhere on any page. I don't have time to fool with it right now, I'll have to look later. I really don't understand what I'm dong wrong.
good.
I want Ahnold's speech. Bet it's up soon.
Well, I finally figured it out. In order to find the speeches, don't go to the iTunes website, open your iTunes software that you've downloaded. I still didn't find a GOP icon anywhere, so I had to use the Power Search feature. Maybe it'll be easier once I use this for awhile, but I've never used it before.
I've had itunes for about a year..since it first debuted.
It's great.
Too bad the apple ceo is a freeking RAT. [Probably why I haven't bought any songs in a loooong time]
It's on the main store page, just to the right of the picture of the iPod.
just to the right of the picture of the iPod. I just downloaded all the speeches.
I finally figured it out. I was looking around on the web site. Finally I decided that I needed to open the iTunes software I had downloaded, and after another cup of coffee, I saw the GOP icon. Doh. *slapping forehead with heel of hand*
Are these among the type of files that are used to spread viruses/trojan horses?
amen .... I'll let the spywar install to get a copy of that speech
If it's from the iTunes music store, you won't have to worry about spyware.
AAC stands for "Advanced Audio Coding," and is Apple's preferred compressed-audio format. Think of it as "MP3: The Next Generation."
It was developed by the MPEG group. MP3's compression technology is over a decade old, and AAC is the follow-on codec using modern perceptual audio compression techniques.
The files are data, so they're not capable of spreading viruses or Trojans.
G5 processor, entire computer in monitor, plug in jack so you can plug in an electric guitar and record tracks, up to 1680X1050 resolution, slot loading superdrive, 160g internal hard drive. Looks like a very cool computer.
See my post #34. Jobs may be a leftie, but he helped shove Eisner out the door at Disney. None of his Pixar movies have been leftie preaching movies, aka Dreamworks "Spirit". As a matter of fact, A Bugs Life has several themes that could be considered downright conservative. I've also never heard him degrade conservatives.

It's quite amazing. iTunes music store is updating the store everyday. I downloaded Arnold's speech, Laura Bush's speech, and Frist's speech this morning. I agree with Richard Kimball, even though Jobs is a democrat, Apple is still carrying the rnc speeches free of charge. Kudos to them...
The moment I read the "System Requirements" made me wish I had the option of switching to high speed internet. Woe is me, I remain on the other side of the digital divide for the forseeable future.
Goto Audiobooks and then in the "news" section under audiobooks. They are ALL there.
