As for today, we have to read between the lines. Not a big turn out, mild applause and Kerry was unusually nervous. He certainly got out of there pronto.

I thought it was the NATIONAL AL convention and that it was merely held in the South.

And, before he can do that, he's going to have to get the House and the Senate to approve an increase in the manning numbers for the military ... which he would vote against if he were still in the Senate.
Why does he think all of those divisions were deactivated and all of those officers and troops RIF'd and given early-outs? Because Congress decided to reduce the numbers of men allowed to be in the Services. It wasn't like most of them wanted to get out or that the slots couldn't be filled. The slots were done away with and, without positions to fill, the troops and officers were "fired".
Someone needs to ask him why, if the military needs more men, manning level numbers haven't been increased by the Congress to authorize more enlistments and the creation (recreation) of disbanded units. The military cannot just enlist more soldiers or commission more officers; Congress has to authorize it and it .. and, by extension, he .. hasn't seen fit to do so.
Those vets backed down in the media storm......these Swift Boat Vets for Truth will not be backing down any time soon.

Are you not even mildly bothered that we had a Lefty almost stab our vice president in a secure VIP location and we had a code pink member and a Nick Berg father type whose son died in Iraq obtain media passes and taunt the Veep in the middle of our convention and no one at AL even gave Lurch the Bronx Cheer? I sure as Hell am.

So you do remember 41 getting humiliated by the POW/MIA families in 92. They were so pissed that they endorsed Clintoon.
Kerry also particpated in that and we didn't have one guy who just couldn't take it anymore derail his photo op today. That's not cool!!!

Just logic, and elimination...I'll climb further out on my limbanyone who'se ever served int he military..knows you're taught, that in combat, you have three options..retreat, attack, or get the hell out of the way...Kerry cannot do the first or last, because it takes him off message..he has to attack,a nd he has a short time frame to launch it...so expect something really horrid, soon...
