My guess is that tragically, Mr. Golan thinks Israel is oppressing Palestinian rights.

Whoever is providing such scholarships needs to do screening BEFORE and AFTER granting them. If this was my money paying for his school or if I had a child AT that school where he is a "Professor", I would be yanking the kid out of that school and having a not so polite discussion with the administrators forthwith. The decibal scale of my rant would be noticable a fair distance.
