Andrew Sullivan must be made that Michael Moore upstaged him when he received direct mention by McCain. Nothing worse then a sore liberal that thinks no one pays any attention to him.

As far as I am concerned, Andrew, should have stayed on vacation for another month.

This rant leads me to believe that the Kerry Headquarters will be calling him ASAP to join their team of dirt bags.

I noticed Andrew Sullivan was bashing Kerry as a bad candidate yesterday. But Andy, I thought you said Kerry was the true "conservative" choice when you endorsed him!

Aren't the Kerry daughters several years older than Jenna and Barbara?

I have to admit being a bit nervous while I listened to their joint speech. Brit Hume afterward said that the First Lady and daughters had no place speaking at the convention, because this country is governed by elected officials, not royalty.

I think that was a little harsh. Certainly, there has been a tradition of First Ladies speaking for several generations. Laura Bush's speech was excellent.

Insofar as Jenna and Barbara are concerned, they seem to be very sweet. Remember they began by saying that they are non-political. My Southern politeness only allows me to comment, "bless their hearts."

What Sullivan doesn't realize, is that the Bush camp is trying to hook a big one in Cali. And they might reel one in after tonight. First you have a popular Cali Gov, giving a great speech to tremendous ratings in prime time. Then you have a the Bush hotties giving a risque (for a RNC) speech, that pokes fun at Crusty Barbara Bush (bless her heart), and invokes "Sex in the City". Then a loving, compassionate speech by The First Lady. If this doesn't give Bush a big bump in Cali, I don't know what will. I have a feeling people in Cali are scratching their heads saying, "Why do we hate bush, again?"

But the delegates, knowing that this kind of front is necessary to win over the American middle, didn't seem to mind.

Or maybe they're just not the anal ultrafundamentalist prudes you perceive them to be, Andy.

So we have an Austrian-American bodybuilder with a history of orgies and a couple of spoiled, hard-drinking party girls fronting for a party whose platform is inspired in large part by Biblical fundamentalism.

Andrew is beyond redemption. The end must be near.

The Sex and the City line was inspired by their father being asked in 2000 by a reporter if he knew what Sex and the City was and he thought she was accusing him of being unfaithful to Laura but the reporter had to explain that it was a tv show. It was some 'pop culture' quiz. I think that's what the twins were referring back to.
