I really don't understand they were very eloquent...is there something I am missing here?
Don't know, maybe it's reading between the lines.
The first part was self-deprecating humor, in which they even included their grandmother, who is one of the most beloved women in the party.
"But when we started coming home with foreign policy advise, dad made us call Condi."
Now, I took this as a subtle shot at Chelsea Clinton, who sat in on foreign policy meetings to give "advice" to the middle east......or was that Amy Carter?
"And we had a hamster, too. Let's just say ours didn't make it."
This was a well-delivered line by Barbara, and an obvious shot at the Kerry daughter's ridiculous story about saving a hamster by giving it CPR.
yes. there seem to be quite a few critics here that expect them to act like professional, polished 30 year olds. i thought they did just fine. there were obviously several "inside" jokes and that seems to bother some here.
