Well-raised children should know the difference between how you act in public and how you act when you're with your friends. They don't need to be relentlessly controlled by their parents to understand simple concepts like that. That's the whole idea of rearing children properly: you put in the work early so they can be self-reliant, self-controlled adults to whom you can relate as adults.
I highly doubt that either W or Laura would, at that age and on a public stage, have acted the way those two did. Jeb's son certainly didn't back in 2000 -- and no-one could accuse him of not knowing how to have a good time in his private life.
Of course the Bush family is big enough to absorb this, classy enough not to act embarrassed, and loyal to each other to a degree that is worthy of study and emulation.

I tell ya what hot shot. You are two 22 year old girls whose father is a REPUBLICAN president and is the most hated president in recent history in the age and social group that these two kids live in. You want to help dad and someone decides to put you before 10 million people for the first speech in your life and then someone else writes the words you are going to speak. All you know is you want to help dad and you get up there and you do your best and then they hear DAD's own supporters blasting them just like those on the other side blast them. This is ridiculous and this forum should be ashamed of itself for the utter stupidity shown over this incident.
