If somebody could "speak" or "relate" to the MTV pinhead generation, wouldn't you have to be a little non-serious?
Unlike the Kerry daughters are "serious" bores.

Your post #7. You referred to the current coming-of-age generation as the MTV pinhead generation. Since I'm 20, I happen to be in this generation.

As I suspected! Self-association! I didn't lump YOU (an apparently intelligent young conservative) in with the "MTV pinhead generation." You did!

Shame on you for being offended!

Seriously, my language is very specific. If you are not a pinhead, then you are not in the non-serious MTV pinhead generation. I am in what I consider the real MTV generation, bout double your age, but it has nothing to do with the current "pinhead MTV gen." WhEW! Worse than diagramming sentences ! Weeeeeee!

You were not the point of my post. I unnerstand you're still young enough to think you're the center of attention, but I wasn't even aware of you. What I was saying was that, of the non-serious people such as the current pinheads (young punk liberal kids), you would expect that something that reaches them would be non-serious (Jenna and Barb's standup). I was defending the girls, in that their silliness surely appealed to some that might not find any way to relate to stuffy Repubs like Bill Frist, for example.

In summary, I've got twice the years and twice the HOT AIR on you!!! Don't be too galldang serious for crying out loud, though. I mean if you plan to make it past 21 on FreeRepub, you're going to need thicker skin!

It's not that I think I'm the center of attention--I've just seen a prevalent train of thought here on FR that looked like it was appearing yet again. I've commented on it before, and this time was no different.
