But but but, they worked hard in our country, so they deserve it. They're already paying into it, so the story goes. Never mind that the pitiance of money they accept as wages, when its NOT under the table, wouldn't pay for 18 months of SS, much less a damn lifetime retirement surfing in Baja!

Such poor timing of all this --- Mexicans protesting their Social Security ---- they can retire now in their 50's --- but Americans are being told by Greenspan that retirement age should go up to 75? Too much disparity in the plans --- we'll have Mexicans retiring in their early 50's while Americans go on working and working to pay them what they want.

All this is is just an elaborate scam to shift blame for the collapse of SS onto the backs of Mexicans making them the scapegoat so Congress and the WH can escape blame when we retire and there is nothing there for us, the U.S. citizen - certainly not the money we paid in for 40-50-60 years and Congress brazenly stole. Congress for generations, with the blessing of the WH has for many years raided the SS fund and put IOU markers in the place of it.

Now, with the baby boomer generation nearing retirement age and there is an empty SS fund why not do just what the WH is now doing with the full collaboration of the Congress. People need to wise up already! They are only trying to cover their tracks. The only thing you will get for your retirement is their worthless I.O.U.'s and many here will go right along with this scheme and re-elect these sorry thieves.
