A march at the Republican convention in New York City turned ugly when a plain clothes detective was yanked from his motorcycle and repeatedly stomped and punched by a group of protestors until he was unconscious. "People started tugging at his bike and pushing him around," said Rob Raney, a 22-year-old Ohio college student. "Finally they just pushed him off his bike."

These are the same men who rushed into those buildings on 9/11 to save people. And this SCUM is beating them.
Time to bring out the tear gas the next time one of them advances on a police officer.
What's even more amazing is that the ultimate story (at sfgate.com, big shock) gives NO details as to what happened, as to why it happened, or what. And, I suspect, the story will disappear and we will never know.
Sadly, this is what these violent bent protestors want. They want the police to act violently and with what the media can show as excessive, unecessary force. Just like the protests at Kent State during the Vietnam war. They need their updated Cosby, Stills, Nash and Young Song about four dead.
The media will ignore all these violent clashes until the first images they show is of a policeman beating a protestor with his nightstick.
The gloves WILL come off!!!!!!!!!! The Cops WILL do what they need to do...and the Cops will not lose.
They're going to be sore losers come November.
"The blatant, vicious attack" a friendly way to put it.
Btw, I found it quite fascinating and ridiculous that we never really heard anything about any of the protests that happened during the DNC.
Darn the liberal media . . .
You're probably right.
Old Media is showing their colors. They are irrelevant. New Media gets the news faster, better and in an interactive way.
Today I've e-mailed dozens of e-mail buddies about this matter so it's not like Old Media can hide it.
If I know those e-mail buddies, they've e-mailed their friends who will e-mail their friends, etc.
Within hours, this story will be halfway around the world. Old Media can pound sand.
ABC is covering it, at least on their site:
http://abcnews.go.com/wire/Politics/ap20040831_92.html
I was at the gym for lunch and one of the TV's is tuned to CNN. Suprisingly, they showed the footage of the officer being beaten at least three times while I was there.
Actually, the drill for the ultra-left wing media would be to scream about EVERY incident of misbehavior. They would present it as proof that the Republicans have problems preventing/controlling chaos.
The media wants to paint the picture that NYC is out of control. The dems probably have many of their union folks placed to start violence as soon as the cameras are on. If there is violence during Arnold's or W's speech, the media will show what is going on outside rather than the speech. True, there may a bounce for W if there is violence. But, the dems will gamble that it's doenhill and they have to try something. The true union/dem thugs will start the violence and leave some of the sacrificial lambs to take the brunt. This will allow mother of some apple-cheeked kid to tearfully sob the next day, "He is a good kid, going to helping the missionaries feed the hungry and the Republicans beat him up like that."
Acutally, sure the sight of some bozos rolled in fake money jumping a cop and putting him in the hospital will certainly pull in the votes for Kerry from "Joe Six Pack" in Ohio. Yep.
Keep it up, libs, yer doing fine!!! HAHAAHAAHAAHAhahaahhhahahahahahahahah..... whadda bunch of idiots.
Was Whoopie there with her wine and oh-so-comical lampshade act?
#4: A burnt offering to Narcissus, goddess of the protest.
As another poster said, the traditional media sites are finding themselves irrelevant. To give their online site credibility, they have to cover what the other net sites are covering.
The true test will be if this crosses over to the ABC nightly news broadcast and with the rest of the MSN, into print.
John Kerry - denounce these protesters!
"John Kerry - denounce these protesters!"

Yes. Because it could well be another 527...
