(CNSNews.com) - The latest Swift Boat Veterans for Truth advertisement doesn't feature anti-Kerry veterans. Instead, it uses John Kerry's own words - spoken as a young anti-war protestor -- against him. "How can the man who renounced his country's symbols now be trusted?" the new Swift Boat veterans' ad asks. The ad makes the point that symbols "represent the best things about America - freedom, valor sacrifice" -- and should therefore be respected. Some didn't share that respect, the announcer says - leading into a sound bite of John Kerry talking about helping a veteran "renounce his medals," which Kerry says he also did. The ad is running in Florida.
Excellent ad.
See it here http://www.swiftvets.com
Where can we see it..........can you post a link
OUTSTANDING! I hadn't heard the Florida thing. The new ad is great.
As an added bonus, the dems will all screech that the fact they are running it in Florida PROVES Bush is behind the ads. After all, nobody outside the Bush campaign could possibly know that Florida is a closely contested state governed by the President's brother.
Kerry is such a target rich environment.
It will be interesting to see how the Dims try to counter this one!
God Bless the Swiftees! They are true Patriots still serving their country!
At some point, the Swifties will be hampered by CFR. At that point, they should print up millions of DVD's and mail them to as many households as possible.
I'm sitting here thinking WTF is Kerry gonna do tomorrow in his speech? We were all taught three options..Attack, Retreat, or get the hell out of the way..Empirically, the last two are NOT viable choices..therefore he's got to attack..but who, and what..if he attacks the Swifties, he loses, so he's got to ignore them and attack Bush big time..on what, I haven't a clue..
I'm sure the MSM will spin this as more Swiftie sleaze. Imagine, using Kerry's own contradictions to bash him. Despicable.
I like the idea of having anyone but Kerry fill out a military form for a top secret security clearance.
Write in anti-war radical.
Write in false accusations accusing soldiers of war crimes.
Write in meetings with communist leaders.
Write in connections to anti-war activists.
Write in preference for European governments.
Write in objections to all known weapons systems.
Write in objections to intelligence agencies.
Now, if you were the decision maker, would you give THAT guy a top secret clearance?
If not, then why would you make him president of the United States?
Can this man EVER make another speech in front of a Veterans Group and not be Booed???? He is in deep trouble.
Why would someone, who renounced his medals ("six, seven, eight, nine..." LOL. Right.) reapply for them and then later use them as symbols of his qualifications for office?
Kerry is a phoney.
It makes you wonder what's still coming.....
What nobody seems to recognize is that the Democrats and press have fired off all their ammo against Bush over the last year. They have nothing new to say. Meanwhile Bush has reserved all his ammo till now.
You can argue whether this was a wise strategy or not, but he's still essentially tied and is just now starting to shoot back.
It is my personal opinion that the Kerry campaign will go down in history as perhaps the most disastrous of all time.
The Swifties should show old clips of the flag-burnings that occurred during the anti-war demonstrations. For instance, the flags surrounding the monuments in DC were always ripped down by the protesters and burned, every single flag. There has to be video of it somewhere.
I don't disagree..but I wasn't debating the merits (NONE) of Kerry's campaing, rther the logic of whatever is to come..
bump
I can hardly wait...
This ad is better than the third, but not as good as the 2nd, in my opinion. The 2nd is the one I feel will be most effective so far.
Which is why I'm THRILLED that I've seen the 2nd ad TWICE on MSNBC today. I live in New Jersey - but I'm guessing that was national play. I hadn't heard that the Swiftvets were previously targetting any states around me.
Qwinn
Time to send them a few more $$$
