Funny how Brittney gets no respect from anyone even though she sells twice as many CDs as any other performer out there. I guess anytime someone becomes so famous they achieve cultural icon status, people have an irresistible desire to see them fail.

The Germans have a word for it although it escapes me at the moment. It means feeling joy over someone else's misfortune. Lots of mean nasty people in the world.
