Britney Spears has been banned from a political party conference-for being too sexy.
The blonde singer, who is a supporter of George W. Bush, was due to play at the Republican National Convention in New York.
But Britney, whose raunchy image was seen as 'potentially doing more bad than good' for the party, was rejected by top politicians after it was leaked that she was to make a surprise appearance.
An insider said, 'We are a serious political party and don't need Britney to promote us.'
'Besides, with the headlines she has been recently attracting it would do more harm than good to the Bush cause.'
Thank godness she wasn't on the list!
Yes....but...you must remember Britney Spears demagogue is that of people too young to vote any way. So why have her at the convention?
Anybody know if there is video clip of the SNL-type lead-in played at the convention last night at about 8:05? It's very good.
She's a nuclear physicist too?
So are most houseplants.
Is Brit showing yet? She got herself knocked recently didn't she?
Speak for yourself.
The Party Pooper of the GOP has sadly won this round.
What did you think she does in her time offstage? That's right, she teaches physics on the Internet, has been doing so for years.
Why couldn't they have her give a speech or introduce somebody? 18-25 people vote also.........seeing her come out to might have motivated some of those people to get off their butts and vote for Dubya.....
There is nothing wrong with Britney.....She has had some raunchy shows....so do you think that after learning that Britney supports GWB.....that she would put on a sex show and hurt Dubya.....I doubt it....
This is a screw up.
Would that be the momentum carried by a neutron at a given energy?
Whump!
Hey, don't do this to me, the back of my head's still sore from when I read that Alice Cooper is a republican.
I agree, Britney would have been perfectly suitable for Jenna and Barbara's party the other night..but perhaps not for the convention floor
I think that the Republican virgin majority and all of our Republican married women who've never had sex with more than one man in their lives should really criticize Britney for even attempting to show at the convention!
Hey...remember the old, old song, "Mother-in-Law?"
"We're planning on having Britney Spears at the convention, Mr President."
"That's a good idea. Get some lettuce, too. Let's not disgusterate the vegetarians; we might need Badnarik."
[Later that night]
"What? Why didn't you say so in the first place! Get me the convention chairman!"
Good pic of Brit ;-)
I do think Britney is trying to dial back the sexuality a bit, supposedly Brit's mom threw a Vanity Fair Magazine cover at her with Reese Withspoon on it and said 'You should emulate her career' (family etc)
