It doesn't offend me in the slightest that Laura Bush gave a speech tonight. She is THE most popular person within both campaigns. Now, I could have done without the kids speaking (both Bush's and Kerry's) but A. Nobody asked me, and B. If the convention featured only speakers I liked, the only people who would tune in would be NASCAR fans and fighter pilots.
