Actually, I was a school child during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
We lived in Florida and practiced lots of "duck and cover" drills under our desk.
JFK was the President then.
I remember those drills. We went into the hallway, got on our knees & covered our heads with our arms. That would save us from the big one.
