August 31, 2004 -- EXCLUSIVEVietnam veterans against John Kerry today are launching a new TV ad that shows the Democrat renouncing his war medals timed to zing Kerry just before he speaks to vets tomorrow at the American Legion convention.
It's the latest move to undermine Kerry by the group known as Swift Boat Veterans for Truth efforts that appear to have sent him slipping in polls and have sparked rumors of a Kerry campaign shakeup.
The ad starts with video of marching Marines and paints Kerry who became an anti-war activist when he came home from Vietnam as one of those who "turned their backs on their brothers."
It shows a long-haired and bearded hippie-type in a military jacket not Kerry appearing to toss his military medals as Kerry and many other anti-war vets did at protest rallies in the early 1970s.

There are no statutory deadlines. A candidate, president elect, and president can resign any time they please. Not joking, that is the way it is, especially for a presidential election. When you pull the lever, you are voting for a party. The party chooses electors, and the electors vote for president, in December.
It's not up on the SBVT website?

Ouch,that's gonna leave a mark.
Someone better give him a shot of bactine.
"...Timing is everything."
If you haven't got the Unfit for Command book, things get worse for JFnKerry in light of his post-Vietnam activities. (When, BTW, he was still in the Active Naval Reserve -- I hope I got that right.)
I look forward to more swiftvet ads. It's probably too much to hope for the media to ask John K why his picture hangs in honor in a war museum in Ho Chi Min city.

One day before Kerry speaks to the American Legion convention. The ad will be playing HARD in Nashville (I think), or whatever city the convention is being held in. If the Legionaires give Kerry a noticceably lukewarm reception, the ad buy effect is magnified, again.
"Medical advice to the whining losing Wussies of Kerry's Rat Pack: "STFU, PUT SOME ICE ON IT AND A PURPLE BANDAID!"
I love these guys! Not only do they tell the truth, but they have an excellent sense of strategy and timing. All Vietnam veterans are in their debt and should be grateful to them for exposing Kerry for what he is and showing the world our calm dedication to telling the truth.
Thanks for the links.
It is time for those who haven't donated to the Swift Vets to do so, and many of us may want to donate again. The link below will take donors to the Swift Vets Donation page:

There are ballot access deadlines and they will all be past soon. In Illinois the state law was just changed so that the President would be on the ballot as the nomination was going to take place after the original deadline had passed.
This paydays donation was sent to Chieftain for a couple of those wonderful stickers :)
Of course there are deadlines. I am pointing out the depth (or lack thereof) of their effectiveness.

This is a good move. The second ad kind of got walked on because the MSM was just getting involved in discussing the first ad. Consequently, the second ad didn't get as much "free" play on the networks. Maybe it will now.
Rangel is a petty POS!
He is urinating on the graves of many National Guard Vets who made the ultimate sacrifice in WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Nam, Desert Storm I and the current WOT.
Rangel may be popular with his inner city voting idiots, but he is positive for our side when he goes negative.
Hopefully, one day we will get to see how much Opecker Thug money came from the Islamofascists to keep Rangel re elected.
Here is another good reference. I was looking for the Illinois statute (still haven't found a link to it), but this summary is pretty good ...
