You're right - but the Patsies (I like your knickname for them) are a delusional bunch closely related to the Rats anyway, so the analogy of Moore fits even better. Of course, they'll tell you that they are the "true" conservatives. Yeah, right, that's why they are closer in ideology to Nader than to Reagan.
